Making Christmas Cards

I can’t believe it will be November in a few days!  Christmas is going to sneak up on me this year – I just know it! I best get busy on some Christmas cards!

I made two last evening, both using The Paper Players Sketch Challenge #219 as my inspiration.

pp219

I can’t decide which one to enter into the challenge….

For both of these cards, I used the Stampin’ Up Ornamental Pine stamp set with various Christmasy DSP and heat embossed the sentiment with gold onto vellum.

So two more done, and……
….how many ever more I make….. left to go!

That’s how we roll

Life in between 🙂

Cheers & Hugs,
Jodi

PS I’d love to hear which one you like better. Will you leave a comment and let me know?

  1. You are so talented Jodi! I can’t decide which I like the best..your cards..recipes..or writing. I love coming to visit your blog, and today I am here from PP again.

Both cards are awesome, I cannot choose which one of those I like best, either! I’m a big fan of plaid, so I am drawn to the first, but then again I love the colors and sparkles on the second. I love them both!

Thanks for joining us this week at The Paper Players!

  2. Gorgoeus cards, as always, Jodi! The plaid is just a natural mate to the pine stamp isn’t it? And well, sparkles make any holiday card even better! Lovely cards, both of them! So glad you joined us at The Paper Players!

  3. Fantastic Christmas cards! Your second card is my favorite. I love that your focal image is stamped on patterned paper and the brown and red look wonderful together. It’s always a pleasure to view your work. Thanks for joining along again at The Paper Players.

  4. Both cards are very pretty….I am glad I don’t have to make a choice!!! I love the plaid on the first one and the second one has such a warm, country feel! Thanks for playing with our challenge this week!

  5. Jodi, I am not sure which I prefer. I immediately fell in love with the traditional Christmas colors and then scrolled down and found the neutral one! They are both fabulous. I’ve gone backwards and forwards on my decision and I vote for the traditional colors. No, wait! Maybe the other one… Heck. I can’t make up my mind – they are both fabulous.

So glad you joined us at the Paper Players this week

    • LOL! I kinda felt the same. I still can’t decide. But I know one will be perfect for someone, and the other will be perfect for someone else :). Thanks for your sweet and kind comments Jaydee!

  6. I love both cards Jodi for different reasons: the paper of the first one really brings out the green of the pine and the red of the ornament, yet I lovely the country feel of the second one – it’s a tough call! Thanks for joining us over at The Paper Players this week!

Both Christmas cards are wonderful. The first card is bright and cheery with the plaid and bold because of the ornament. But my choice is card #2 because of the subtleness and red bow. It reminds me of a traditional Christmas from long ago when times were simpler. Very difficult choice for sure. I especially like that you are having a difficult time deciding. It means you can see and appreciate what you do!
