(P.S. Remember when doing ceramics was “all the rage?” I still love these three little pencil Santas on the left I painted about 20 years ago. They are hanging out in an antique jelly cupboard in our great room with a bunch of others for the season. I have a bit of a “Santa” thang.)
Love your saying, but love your Santa’s more! Anytime you’re thinking of getting rid of them, let me know. Haha…or should I say, HoHo

I love that quote! I think it fits you perfectly. The pencil Santa’s are gorgeous! You did an excellent job painting them! I have a couple pencil Santa’s but I didn’t make them or paint them. 😀 Put a paint brush in my hands and all I would be able to do is make a mess. 😀

Oh PJ – I don’t believe that for a moment! Secret artist that you are – a paint brush in your hand would surely create beauty!

OH Jodi!! My teddy bears are out for display, if I had made them, they would not be out for display!!! LOL!! I remember having to sew my first project in Home Ec class! A first and last, ha! These are Christmas teddies I have received over the years

LOL! I haven’t mastered sewing very well myself, but did get a sewing machine last year from my son, Nick, and keep wanting to try something more than sewing on cards – haha! 🙂

My mother has a wonderful Santa collection and there is a pencil Santa or two in it, I’m sure. Oh yes, I remember ceramics. I tortured myself through making one of those little lighted Christmas trees which I gave to my mother-in-law years ago. Kinda wish I had it now….not sure where it is! Your Santas are darling.

I have a ceramic tree I made. Didn’t put it out for years, but then have been dragging it back out again. Reminds me of my Grandma, and is kind of like vintage now 🙂 Oh dear!

Thanks John. Are you decorating?

No, unfortunately. Life is nuts lately with wife’s travel with the teen to her fencing tournaments, and her work online as a college instructor. The house is taken apart, our decorations are all in boxes in the garage awaiting the sale of the house. It hasn’t happened yet hence we could have decorated I guess but didn’t. Next year will be much different, being in an apartment or not.

Good advice this time of year. I’ve encountered quite a few grumpy people; I know they are just overly tired from all the festivus:).
