Oh Little Log Cabin on the edge of the woods, what is your story?
What tales would you tell if you could
of life now and life then?
Are we doing it right?
You stand so solid and sturdy and beautiful.
You remind me to slow down, breathe deeply, gaze intently.
You do speak…
to my soul.
Cheers & Hugs,
Jodi
Love the photo! And, I love your poem. When you see the cabin you think of a beautiful poem. When I see this photo it makes me want to write a story about it. If I were the cabin I would answer you with this, “Jodi, you are doing it right but ‘most’ everyone else… not so much.” lol! Good morning! ((Hugs!)) xoxo

Good morning, Jodi. Charming little cottage in the woods, reminds me of Laura Ingalls Wilder’s “Little House in the Big Woods.”

Another beauty! “Slow down, do come in. There are pens and a huge stack of paper on the table there by the window. Light the candles and feel free to write through the night.”

Love this, Jodi. Dwellings speak to me too. I especially love ones that are uninhabited and starting to succumb to their surroundings. They have incredible stories; I’m sure.:)

Yes they do, and make wonderful photography subjects. I want to pursue more! 🙂

I have a photo of an abandoned house in the middle of a field. You’ve inspired me to write about it.:)

I would love to talk to the owners someday and get some real stories! When I do, maybe I can share 🙂
