This week’s Paper Players Challenge (#262) is a color challenge rich with Fall colors – Tangelo Twist, Lost Lagoon, and So Saffron.
For my design team inspiration card this week, I stamped the three colors randomly onto an acrylic block, spritzed it was a light mist of water, and then placed my paper on top to transfer the abstract image.
Once dry, I added a simple wreath of twine, a black die-cut ‘hello’ sentiment, and finished it off with a few coordinating sequins.
I matted this with black onto white card stock to create my simple Fall color-inspired greeting card.
For those that remember the wedding card I posted last week, this is the other card I mentioned that would feature the twine wreath.
Hope my paper crafting friends will join us with your creativity for this week’s color challenge at The Paper Players! We love seeing what you do with it.
Cheers and Hugs,
Jodi
This is one of my favorites, Jodi. Love the fall colors and the black twine looks like writing. Nicely done.

Thanks PJ! That is what is fun about the “challenge.” We are given the colors and get to create whatever we want. It is often a combination I wouldn’t have thought to try, so I love it for that!

Hi Jodi – your card designs combine the most interesting elements of color, texture and 3 dimensions. You knocked it out of the park with this card. Lucky person who receives your creative card. Have a lovely Sunday. By the way I can’t get those cookies out of my head that you posted several days ago. 😄🍪

We were at 90 two days ago and now in the 50s – craziness, but I’m loving it. I LOVE the change of seasons. It’s like living in 4 different places and never leaving home sweet home 🙂

Love it. I have one question. How do you keep the twine wreath from falling apart? I don’t see any glue or knots holding it together.

Thanks Carol. I use tiny glue dots in various places to hold it down and keep it looking loose and random 🙂
