This week’s theme for The Paper Players Challenge (PP265) is Halloween.
I decided to break out the FlowerSoft for this week’s Design Team Inspiration card. It makes such a fun textured Fall tree with lots of Halloweeny colors.
Here is the fun sentiment on the inside.
My card isn’t very spooky or screamy, but hopefully it is happy halloweeny!
I gave a quick swoosh of green for the grass and blue for the sky in watercolor paint, then stamped the rest.
Here are the “ingredients” I used to make this card:
- StampinUp (SU) Sheltering Tree Stamp Set
- SU Holiday Home Stamp Set (Pumpkins and Ghosts and outside sentiment)
- SU Mingle All the Way Stamp Set (Inside sentiment)
- Inks: SU Early Esperesso, Pumpkin, and Stazon Black
- FlowerSoft Autumn Mix adhered with Tombow Mono Multi Glue
- Early Espresso and Pumpkin SU Card Stock
Hope you are getting ready for a spooky, screamy, happy Halloweeny, and hope my paper crafting friends will join our challenge this week at The Paper Players!
Cheers & Hugs,
Jodi
What a great idea Jodi. Your card is very Halloweeny. My daughter-in-laws birthday is on Halloween, you’ve given me a few ideas for her card.
Happy Sunday.

Absolutely beautiful! Love the colors and textures – and perfect swooshes. It’s so easy to overdo a swoosh!! And ruin the spontaneity in the meantime. Gorgeous, Jodi!

It’s a perfect Halloween card for all ages! What did you use for the foliage? I love that textural effect (I adore 3D cards)!

Jodi, is this Flower Soft Mix like “very small particles of shredded colored paper” ? We don’t have it here, but if it is shredded paper maybe I could do it myself ?! 😉

This is one sweet little card…I have never used Flower Soft, but it looks so realistic here, it makes your spooky little scene extra-special. I do have to tell you that I got totally sidetracked in my commenting when I saw that Apple Fritter cake on your previous post. THAT is some seriously delicious-looking cake! Definitely will be making that one!

Very interesting. From a novice…does that flower soft stay on or do you have to be careful with it?

It sticks on pretty good with that glue George. But prob best to be careful. 😊
