Oh Sharon! It is It is !! NIGHT AND DAY calling me! Not that I am doing it much justice. Have tried an interpretation of my pink clouds and puddles 5 times now. haha!

Wooooooot! Even better closeup! A really wonderful job here. LOVE artist network! I’ve not tried 300lb paper yet and I’m curious if you notice a big difference? I guess it holds the moisture longer? This is beautiful work! I think your trees look great! 💛💛💛

Thank you sweetie – you encouraged me to share it 🙂 It is quite different. I was gifted a huge sheet of it from my cousin, Joyce. Sometimes I like it a lot – other times not – depends what you are doing. Takes a lot more water, and appears “rougher” The great thing about it is it doesn’t warp as much.

Ok thanks! It turned out so great. Seriously, really good!!! I’ve tried doing something similar and found it v tough! (It was my Outback post). It wasn’t real WC paper but in this case I don’t think it’d have made it easier. Also you did a nice job with the shadows!! Do you love it?! (You better say yes lol)

LOL! I like it. Not LOVE yet. I am disapppointed with the bare trees. Branches too thick. need to work on making them flow better, be more natural, less effort…. May try with pallete knife to get better affect. Enjoying the journey, but want to be extraordinary right away – lol – I know it is not possible so going to enjoy watching the growth 🙂

Everything about this painting is complete eye candy Jodi, it just sings! What a beautiful painting and the perfect start to 2016! I think that “long way” you mention is no longer long, you are smack dab in the middle of loveliness! Absolutely wonderful and stunning!

This is my least favorite time of the year, dark, dreary, cold, after the holidays. I feel like I am just waiting.. For what? I don’t really know:)Spring? And winter just started.

I used to feel that way Mary, but now look forward to the “down” time. It is a great time to take up a new hobby or binge watch a TV series or read a book or two that you’ve been wanting to or experiment with cooking or knit or crochet or paint or sew. There are so many things to do when you are “nesting” in the winter. Look for simple moments to cherish. Call a friend, write a letter to someone or a card just for no reason to brighten their day. Look for ways to make others smile and it will brighten your mood too 🙂

What a great way to look at January! I usually think of it as just a dark and cold month, something to be endured. But I like your idea of seeing it as a time to rest, reinvent and create. I’m going to have to try that!
