Love is in the Air….
Only a few weeks until Valentine’s Day, so time to play with all things lovely and pink and red and hearts and lacy or whatever makes you feel Valentiney.
This card was made for a special someone that requested a “girlie and pretty” card for someone very special to them. I had a lot of fun creating it with that special someone in mind.
For this card, I used the StampinUp Wondrous Wreath that is typically used for Christmas cards, but I made it in shades of pink and gray, added some tiny pearls, and backed it with a lacy doily to make it feminine and delicate and Valentiney.
This week’s Paper Players’s Challenge #PP275 is a CAS Valentine’s card. My card is not quite “clean and simple,” (I’ve created a few more layers than that!) but it is Valentine’s!
Our little corner of the world is bracing for a bit of a snowstorm in the next few days. We will see. No matter the weather – hope you are feeling warm and safe and loved wherever you are.
Remember love is a not only a noun – it is also a verb. It is something we can give as well as receive. And it is in giving that we receive.
Cherish the Moments.
Cheers & Hugs,
Jodi
Whoever gets this will be delighted I am sure! So pretty! Yup, the snow is coming! Well at least that is what they say, considering we haven’t had snow all winter yet I will believe it when I see it 🙂 How much are they predicting up your way?

You haven’t had any at all yet? Wow! We have an inch or two of very sparkly light fluffy snow – beautiful!

Beautiful card Jodi! I’m sure the person you made it for will be deighted to give it to that special someone. I saw on the news that a blizzard is coming your way. It has snowed here the last two nights. Hopefully, I can get to the grocery story this morning. I may have to put it off for awhile. We didn’t have a blizzard, just a little snow, but I still don’t like to drive on it.

Very nice, Jodi. Did Charley request it for a special someone he met in a walk?..:)

Nope – not Charlie this time, but he does have a post he is sharing tomorrow! 🙂

I didn’t want to be reminded that February is right around the corner…but if I had to be, your beautiful card is a good way to do it…eases the pain of time flying by. 😉 ❤

Love that you mentioned love as a verb. Have you ever read CS Lewis’ book aout the Greek words for love?

agape? 🙂

C.S. mentioned four different types of love in his book: I believe they were Phileo (brotherly), Storge (familial), Eros (romantic) and Agape (Godly or unconditional). Agape is definitely a verb.
