I woke up yesterday thinking tulips….
thinking Spring….
so wanting to paint tulips.
I awoke to a rainy Monday…
feeling earlier than it was with the time change…
going to the gym and getting to work.
But as the day progressed….
the afternoon brought sunshine and warmth…
and by dinnertime, the temperatures were above 70 degrees F.
After dinner, I grabbed a sheet of watercolor paper…
A full sheet – 9 x 12 inches…
and I sat on the deck with flips flops and sun still shining.
And I painted tulips…
loose and free and Springy….
and this is how they turned out.
Happy Spring!
Happy Tulips!
Happy HeArt!
Cheers & Hugs,
Jodi

Loose and free. Is this your new paintbrush at work? Did Snehal inspire you yesterday? πππ Happy Tuesday Jodi!

I was actually playing with a flat brush for this one. When I saw Snehal’s, it made me smile, because I had woke up thinking tulips too! That time of year I suppose π

Omg her florals inspire the ever living heck out of me. Yes, it’s definitely that time of year! I love that you are finding your style and doing lots of experimenting! I’d have never thought of trying this with a flat brush! Good for you!

Beautiful and bursting with joy. I almost bought a tulip at the grocery store yesterday just so I could take its picture. It looked very much like the one you painted. π

We went to a spa in Pennsylvania a couple of weeks ago and I took a watercolor class one of them on yupo paper which was interesting. I found both classes very relaxing. The problem is I have zero artistic talent so my “works of art” were interesting…:)

George – I would have said the same thing last May – not even a year ago! And though I am hardly an artist yet – I so enjoy it! Don’t let anything hold you back if you enjoy! π
