Spring in Mars
is a little confused.
The beautiful Japonica
that yesterday looked like
it was playing the harmonica
now thinks it is time
to celebrate Hanukkah
with Veronica
and drink a gin and tonica!
Just a little silliness
to cherish the moments
that nature throws our way
each and every day.
Cheers & Hugs,
Jodi
PS – How many words can you think of that rhyme with Japonica ?
oh no, what happened! but thats ok, Jodi….. you made extra sweet lemonade with the craziness of this weather that is for sure.
It is such a wonderful, entrancing photo you captured…. so lovely. how lucky to have got Both images!!

that is a “lemonade” way to look at it – eh? I captured it both ways a day apart – Spring will eventually come and stay I imagine – until then – having fun watching Mother nature being fickle. It is a woman’s prerogative -eh? 🙂

🙂 We had 90º last Wednesday, and it’s been cool and rainy all week-end. Winter doesn’t want to let go does it.

I know -but we barely had winter when it was supposed to be here…. so double tricky – LOL!

That is the best holiday song EVER :)) When will Mother Nature decide what she’s going to do. We have a fire in our wood stove for the 2nd or 3rd day in a row! And baseball is being snowed out lol (yesterday)

Delightfully charming verse, and your image is lovely, the Japonica looks like it is wearing a hood while waiting for Spring to call again.

It always makes me a little sad to see flowers covered in snow, but usually they are okay. And I think the situation definitely calls for a “gin and tonica!” Thanks for the smile…

Yes – they aren’t perking up so great 😦 But you are right – gin and tonica helps 🙂
