Make a Wish

Dandelion Seeds Flower Make a Wish

If only closing our eyes
and blowing fluffy white
dandelion seeds to the wind
could make our wishes come true.

The world would be filled
with buttery yellow “flowers”
instead of pesty “weeds”
and “pretty” lawns would look much different.

It’s all about
perspective.

Go ahead.
Make a wish.

Cheers & Hugs,
Jodi

  1. The photo IS magical and beautiful and a friend bought me a shirt with a bee in a dandelion that says “save the dandelions”! What a tremendous post and thought is this. Oh and in our minds, we can do things to make those wishes come true. This image would also make a lovely abstract, I think. Well done, Jodi. You are a wizard with that camera!

  2. Hi Jodi,
The words are beautifully written and also very brilliant photography. I love dandelions and there are plenty in my garden; they make delicious baked goodies and has lot of medicinal value.

  3. Those yellow flowers are the best when your little grandson picks one and hands it to you saying, “Grandma, this flower is for you!” And to a little glass of water it goes to sit in plain view, lasting a couple days, and being a continued reminder how much (and more!) your heart is filled with the beauty and love of nature as seen through the eyes of a child. BTW, I keep forgetting to mention, my first grandson’s name is Ben also! (‘mine’ will be 6 in a couple weeks!) 🙂

  4. I too say the photo is magical! Wouldn’t it be magical if dandelions were only considered to be beautiful flowers? Did you know they were once known as the snow storm plant? Maybe if we rename them all our wishes could come true!
