Rainy days
cancelled plans
messy beds
messier hair
muddy paws
dampened feathers
thunder cracking
steaming coffee
comfy jammies
old movies
new books
paint splashing
afternoon naps
nourishing the plants
feeding the streams
brightening the green
slowing us down
refueling our engines
washing the world clean
Cheers & Hugs,
Jodi
Love the poem. We’ve had so many rainy mornings here lately, I can really relate. 🙂

Thanks Ann. I actually took this photo last Sunday after it had rained many days in a row. Today the sun is shining and the Rhodies are a bloomin!

This speaks to me of what God is teaching me – to receive and rejoice in what is, rather than despair and demand what is not. I am a slow learner!

I’m so glad it speaks to you Kathy! It had rained non stop for about a week and everyone was kind of complaining and getting sick of it, and I had to convince myself to find the bright side 🙂 Once I did, it made all the difference! Cherishing the moments! 🙂

Not raining here yet. Photo was last Sunday. We will see what happens today. Quite humid!! I’m cooking and baking for a picnic later. 😉

My hubby is golfing today at the lake so I’m enjoying a quiet day – weather is a bit stormy so it’s a perfect day to draw, read and nap! 😉

Sometimes rain is a good thing, once we adjust our day’s agenda. As you point out, it can still be a good day, just a different sort of good day! Happy Memorial Day, Jodi!
