Unwinding…
De-stressing…
Relaxing…
after a busy work day
one evening this week
through drawing geometric patterns,
dropping in watercolor,
and letting it do it’s thing.
Then I twisted it
and turned it
and shook it
and salted it
and spritzed it
and finally
a quick splatter or three.
Zen…
Finding Peace in Painting.
#WorldWatercolorMonth Rocks!
Cheers & Hugs,
Jodi
PS Thanks for the inspiration Laura!
I love the colors! We all need our relaxing outlets 🙂 and we benefit from yours!

Thanks Carrie – I really wanted to stick with 3 color, but the way I patterned it, I needed to add a fourth. Too many colors?

You’re welcome! No such thing as too many colors in my book, Jodi. As many as we want that’s the way I always go. 🙂

I like this very much, Jodi. Did you draw the geometry first and then drop in the color? I want to do this!

It was too geometric for me, so I had to “loosen” it up 🙂

I love your abstract….there is something about painting an abstract that does help you to unwind and to express something deep within. Love how your painting seems geometrical and loose at the same time, those blending colors helps the image to meld into peaceful….. 🙂

Thank you so much Margaret for expressing what you see and sharing your thoughts. It did start out very geometric, but I had to loosen it up 🙂
