There once was a duck
named Chuck
who never really had much luck.
When a tempestuous storm struck,
he was stripped of his cluck.
It really did suck,
and he felt like a schmuck.
But not one to pass the buck,
he simply smiled and said,
“Oh F……..antastic!”
Cheers & Hugs,
Jodi
Just a little fun with negative watercolor painting and silly rhyming!
so funny and love the painting )

Benjamin, the 3 1/2 yr. old art critic, loves “Chuck the Duck”! I read him the poem two times and he agrees that it is “fantastic”. He is definitely a fan of your many talents, along with myself. Thank-you for our morning fun!

Oh how you brighten my day with your sweet comments and how you share with little Benjamin! I have my granddaughter with me today. I get Fridays off work to have grandma days. She is 7 mos old and growing so fast! We’ve already crawled around for 2 hours this morning, so she’s conked out and I’m resting a bit 🙂 yay for Fridays! ❤

I had to revisit to tell you that Benjamin wanted to see “the chuck duck” again after nap time. I had to read the story three times. He loves his books, but he called this “the computer book” – too funny! He is my one and only Grandchild; and my heart! Being retired is a gift as I am able to spend so much time enjoying these precious moments. Enjoy these days, they pass too quickly!

Jodi,
Chuck the duck has got some pluck!
He has the best of best luck
With you to paint him at first cluck
In all his ducky glory and webbed feet firmly in the muck
Who says ol’ Chuck has no luck?
Not me, says I as I tuck
Into my steaming plate of Peking Duck!

I do believe this duck is no schmuck! After all, you painted him, so he must have some luck! 🦆 Maybe you could sell him for a couple of bucks?! hehe! Happy Friday, Jodi! 😄 Have fun with that sweet granddaughter of yours today! 💗💕

Me, again! I must share this with YOU, so that you know what a devoted fan my Benjamin has become. Benjamin is visiting with a family member this weekend. We read his books with him before naps and at bedtime, started when he was just a baby. Well, at nap time he wanted “Chuck Duck” and nobody knew which book he meant. The “computer book” he insisted, causing more confusion and consternation. Sadly, at the time no one could reach “Gem” (that’s me – named by him) to unravel the dilemma and he had to be content with dinosaur books. Lessons learned: 1) Keep my cell phone handy. 2) Figure out how to make “Chuck Duck” available to all. 3) Never underestimate the toddler’s devotion!
