Hal the Colorful Cow

Hal the colorful cow
simply did not know how to smile.

He tried things like raising his brow,
but still there remained a grimacing scowl.

He visited Frau,
who just gave him a meow.

He wandered around here and now,
and sighed and sadly whispered, “wow.”

So he went about his daily plow,
trying and trying to think of somehow.

When it came to him that he would take a vow –
he simply committed he would disallow.

So he took a bow,
and all of the sudden, he was able to smile.

Cheers & Hugs,
Jodi

  1. Benjamin is in love with Hal the colorful cow and thinks he is silly! He is also quite smitten with Mig the pink pig. Orange is his most favorite color, but he is very fond of purple too. We are enjoying all of the animals and poems immensely. They “will” make a spectacular book! Thank-you for adding so much fun to our morning. P.S. Benjamin wants to visit the other animals now.

    • I LOVE IT! He is my little tester of sorts – you need to be honest with me on what appeals to him most 🙂 Thanks Ellen! Pam the Lamb coming soon. ❤
