An Otterly Awesome Otter

An Otterly Awesome Otter.

Near a barn was a body of water.
In it lived an otterly awesome otter.

This particular otter
had the distinguished name of Potter.

Potter loved when the weather got hotter,
for he loved to swim and was quite the yachter.

One day while sunning, with a glimpse he did spot her,
he believed her to be his Dad’s friend’s daughter.

He shuffled about trying hard not to totter,
and he hoped his wave and wink did caught her.

It worked!  She was smiling, his mind was a flotter.
An otterly beautiful otter for Potter.

Cheers & Hugs,
Jodi

  1. Good Morning to you from Benjamin and Gem! Benjamin did not know an otter and thinks that “Potter is a funny name”. He also thinks that Potter is taking a “tubby” in your painting. We had to go revisit each of the other animals and he asks me to read their “stories” to him. He has developed a huge devotion to Hal the cow and Klaus the mouse! They are first on the revisit list. I love your sweet little otter and his rhyme too. Benjamin wants you to know that we saw two very little bunnies eating the hosta in my front yard this morning. He was enchanted. Thank-you for our morning animal tale, we love them!!

  2. Oh my goodness, you are good! I chuckled out loud on your cleverness. I loved Potter and thought your water looked refreshing enough to jump into the painting. LOL! Thank you so much for sharing your awesome gift.

  3. So great again, imagination with the word art, and such skills with the paint brush. Did you mask the whites or did you use a a liner brush for the wiskar hairs? Your drawing is wonderful. Amazing, glad you have these outlets for all your pent up creativity. Your multi talents are incredible. I love them all. What a legacy you have to share and leave for your grandchildren.

  4. How in the world you come up with each sweet creatures story is beyond me! I loved how clever you got with your rhyming, Jodi. Precious Potter is right up there as my favorite animal! Just thought you “otter” know this! 😉 💕

  7. Beautiful Jodi, the brownand the blue background work so well well together. I love how you can see the texture of his fur and the bright blue makes this happy otter pop. Gorgeous!
