Tip Toe through the… Fallen Leaves:  A Charlie Guest Post.

I’m trying to tip toe,
taking it nice and slow..

but these crispy, crunchy leaves
which are supposed to be up in the trees

are warning my prey
and giving me away!

Good thing I’m only sneakin’
up on Mom who is peekin’

through that silly camera lens
that causes her to spend

way too much time
thinking of silly rhymes.

(Good thing I come along every once in a while and give her a break!)

    • thank you ms ellen! i must tell you i love the squirrels and am happy to share my yard with them. i was once an orphan and had to squander for food, so i understand. i guess i’m not a great hunter, but i’m a lover, and mom said that’s a good thing. hi to benjamin from mom and me. love, charlie

  13. Good to hear from you, Charlie! I’ve missed you! And actually, the leaves did you a favor to let your mom know you were sneaking up on her. Bad things can happen when you startle someone with a camera. They may drop it and break it, and then they get really, really crabby. Still, I know, but people have different values than dogs!

  14. Awww, Charlie is indeed very photogenic and sweet looking! My grandies, Skyler and his brother, Micah just got their first puppy. It was a member of one of their Mommy’s coworker’s dog’s litters. Smiles, Robin 🐕
