Dairy-Free Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana “Nice” Cream

Dairy-Free Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana “Nice” Cream.

Can you even stand how decadent and amazing this ice cream looks??!!

Well – it is actually “nice” cream!  A dairy-free, healthy version of ice cream made from fresh, natural ingredients.

When my daughter-in-law, Liz, who is a Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) as well as a Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN), recently posted this recipe on the blog of  her website about functional nutrition, Nourish & Flourish, I knew I had to try this!

Liz’s knowledge about holistic nutritional health is extraordinary, and she “preaches” and practices maintaining a “normal” lifestyle with most everything in moderation.  I really am very proud of her, and this recipe is nothing short of AMAZING!  You will not miss the dairy, added sugar, or all the preservatives you are used to consuming in your usual ice cream.

Please click on THIS LINK for the recipe for this delicious “Nice” Cream on Liz’s website and blog.  I hope you will subscribe to her blog post as there is always something interesting to learn or to try making for a healthy alternative.  Liz also has a Facebook page and Instagram page, which I encourage you to follow as well.  And if you live nearby Pittsburgh, PA, Liz is available for individualized nutrition consulting.  You can get a free 15-minute consult by signing up here.

But first – make this Nice Cream and let me know what you think!!

Cheers & Hugs,
Jodi

  1. OMG Jodi….This looks so good even at 6:30 AM. Terry would have lovd this as chocolate and peanut butter was his favorite ! I’m going to have to do an extra hour of workout at the gym today because just looking at this makes me feel guilty ! Have a great week. Luv Gary.

  2. Doesn’t that look divine?! So divine that I think I will be forced to indulge. I love the tip of keeping bananas frozen in the freezer for needy moments and am interested that they must not be over-processed on account of turning bitter – who knew? Now to nip to the World Food Market on the corner of the next street which I know has very good peanut butter on tap!!

  3. Good Morning, Jodi! Benjamin just told me that he wants to say “Hi!” to Jodi. So, we are visiting! He thinks this looks “yummy”, but wants you to put Reese’s Pieces on top (they are his favorite). Poor Benjamin is not feeling well, elevated temp and coughing. I’m going to hop over to Liz’s blog, always looking for more healthy eating recipes and ideas. Thank-you for this post and links. P.S. Benjamin blew a kiss to you, he doesn’t want you to get his “germs”!

  4. Oh, finally you are on the “nice cream era”. My favorite is with strawberries, rhubarb, and mint. I know that peanut butter gives that extra creaminess ;). I love nice-creams! And it’s good having Liz in your life 🙂

  5. This does look delicious Jodi! I make a fruit smoothie every morning for breakfast with fruit and kefir (without any sugar). And just made a banana treat like this, minus the chocolate, yesterday for my husband and I as a treat. He doesn’t care that much for chocolate though… but I love it. So I will have to try this recipe for myself. I have to say, making banana or fruit ice cream is amazing! Thank you for sharing the links for the recipe. I will enjoy following her blog too!
