First Snow.
There’s just something
about the first snow of the season…
That first snow that sticks to the ground and trees –
even if just a briefly passing dusting.
Especially when it happens on
a late Sunday afternoon.
And when it appears suddenly –
as if it wanted to be a special surprise.
And when you are settling in by a warm, crackling fire
in comfy home sweet home.
Cherish the Moments.
Cheers & Hugs,
Jodi

Nothing but nothing beats that first silent dust of snow and your words capture it perfectly. Of course I feel the same about the first spring flowers, the first vivacious leaves of autumn and that first really hot sunshiny summer day …. isn’t life just wonderful!!

Right??!! Nothing beats it. And I really never grow tired of it. As long as we are safe and warm and cozy. And yes – I too, feel nothing beats those first spring daffodils and the robins chirping in the morning, and then the color of autumn and the joy of barefeet in the grass in summer. The seasons of life are wonderful – if we only stop to think about and realize 🙂 ❤

Such a beautiful room! The photo is so lovely with the fireplace in the middle and the snow outside on each side! I woke up this morning and the first thing that came into my mind was something you said. You were celebrating a special birthday. Oh, I think it was your birthday and I missed it! Happy Belated Birthday!!

Snow already? How lovely! Where I live the climate is a little milder than more northern parts of the UK – we don’t often get snow here….

The snows have come in force in our mountains and the ski area opened last weekend a week early! But here in town, nothing as of yet. (And the ski mountain is only 25 miles away!) I would have loved to enjoy a cuppa by that warm fire with you…

The first snow is always so magical! Beautiful photo and thoughts from your beautiful self! Fall fell all over me again and it’s a good thing that I love it…because, I’m already so over the raking. Benjamin and I spent hours raking and bagging the leaves on Tuesday. Truth be told, he spent more time jumping into and scattering my mounds of leaves! These white oaks hold onto their leaves forever, there are still many on the branches, which means a third raking event in the forecast (yuck!). I am ready for some lovely snow, hopefully it is not on top of leaves. Thank-you for this delightful post!

I know what you mean. We just had our first snow storm and the snow clung to the trees so beautifully. I don’t like the snow and cold, but I always appreciate the beauty of snow on trees. Merry Christmas 🙋🐦🎅
