Cheesy Bacon Ranch “Crack” Dip.

It’s party food time of year!

When you are looking for an easy, crazy addictive, crowd-pleasing recipe, give this warm, cheesy, bacony, ranchy dip a go.

It’s sure to be a hit!

Cheesy Bacon Ranch Crack Dip

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened (I used 1/3 Less Fat)
  • 16 oz. sour cream (I used Light)
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 lb. bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced green onions (reserve a few for garnish)
  • 2 Tbsp. (or one 1oz. envelope) Ranch Dressing mix

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Combine all ingredients in bowl, reserving a bit of cheddar cheese and a few green onion slices for garnish.

Transfer dip to a pretty oven-proof serving bowl, fand back 20-25 minutes, uncovered until browned and bubbly.

Remove from oven, and immediately garnish with reserved shredded cheddar cheese and green onions.

Serve warm with tortilla chips, pretzel sticks, carrot or celery sticks, crackers, or your favorite dipper.

Enjoy!

Cheers & Hugs,
Jodi

  1. You always make me smile, but today for an odd reason! When I opened this post to the photo and recipe, I saw ONIONS and thought REMOVE them!! Then scrolling through the comments, I realized everyone else just saw DELICIOUS! Perspective really is everything. Then again, perhaps someone else would be more polite and just quietly remove them. Thank-you for the smiles, but the onions still must be REMOVED!

      • I will never ever understand how anyone could even like, never mind love, ONIONS! I have detested them my entire life, to the point of my mother’s tears and frustration at times. I will, upon occasion, add a tad of onion powder to things…when it cannot be avoided. To this day I will not allow an onion to reside in my refrigerator, unthinkable! Being of a more generous nature than previously, I will allow one around for a cookout (only briefly). I will grudgingly admit that they do add a pleasant pop of color to your photo.

      • You sound exactly like my dad! He would say exactly these same things. It is something I cannot understand as I adore them, but I respect. I feel similarly to mushrooms. Do you like those slimy, rubber things?? 🙂

      • Good Grief, mushrooms are a fungus not fit for human consumption! I would not allow a mushroom in my house, even briefly. The very thought is too ghastly to contemplate. Another thing that I detest is liver, which deserves being served with onions. Why anyone wants to eat something that already resides in their body totally eludes me. Apologies to the liver, onion and mushroom lovers…I may have been a wee bit offensive.

      • Oh my! Onions are about one of the most important ingredients ever. Do you use onion powder? Onions were pretty much the only flavoring the commoner had in Tudor England. Which actually explains a lot about their cuisine…
