Un…. A Charlie Guest Post

Un….  A Charlie Guest Post.

Un – decorated from the holidays.
Un – happy that parties are over.
Un – thinkable that there will be no snack spreads to snitch from.

Un – realistic that Mom thinks we need to go on diets.
Un – thinkable that there are still hours until dinner time.
Un – imaginably cold outside – so no walks again today.

Un – believable that mom has to go back to work already.
Un – able to stay awake.
Un – der the covers I go.

Un – derstand….   It’s a dog’s life.

Woofs & Wags,
Charlie

  2. Poor Charlie! Christmas is a dog’s dream come true, and now it’s over. But don’t worry, there will still be lots of good food for you to enjoy, and the weather won’t stay this cold forever (think of all the fun you’ll have playing in the snow when it gets just a tad less cold) and you will still have a wonderful time! Just remind mom that dogs don’t care for diets. They know that food is for eating, and that “a plump dog is a happy dog!” Happy New year, Charlie!!

    • oh no ms jenna! I imagine the island isn’t typically prepared for this type of cold weather. We are in the single digits here. I’m going back to bed…. love, charlie

  3. I remember for mg past two dogs, changes can be more frightening fie dogs and its confusing when everything is setup for Christmas and taken down. But I think, Charlie, things will be stable for a while now & going to be and snuggling under the covers is your best option. Are last week and a half here Had been very cold like -40 to -48 in the day and night depending on the windchill. I saw on New Years Eve in New York it was very cold & I think it’s just hitting everyone in North America (except Mexico) right now. I don’t know about in near Pittsburg where you live, but tomorrow things are warming a great deal, at least for a week or two so I hope that means more walks. Also
The diet sucks, but it’s okay you’ll get used to it too after a few days. Most of us are on one after Christmas, moi included. Have a lovely sleepy day. And Happy New Year to
    Your mom and entire family!

    • You are so thoughtful and understanding ms amanda. thank you so much! Mom says it is supposed to warm up a little bit here tomorrow, but still below freezing, and only for a day, and then get really cold again for the rest of the week. I guess I will just go back to bed……. until dinnertime! Happy New Year ms Amanda! love, charlie

  4. So sorry, Charlie! Back to the old daily schedule. You’ve got that warm fireplace to snuggle up in front of until the dinner bell rings. Hope it warms up a bit outside, then back to walks for you! Happy New Year from Sammy & Charley who have no idea what cold and snow is like. Pats from their Mamma, Christine

  5. Hang in there Charlie! Spring is coming (eventually) and you’ll be able to walk till your heart’s content! A question, totally unrelated to your post, is that a vintage wooden ironing board your mom has behind the sofa? If so, it’s the coolest piece of furniture I’ve ever seen! Tell her, I said so, ok?

    • Oh ms Nancy it feels like it will never come right now! So cold! But i will look forward to spring ! And mom tells me, yes, that is an antique ironing board she uses as a sofa table. We are glad you like it!! 👍😉. Love, charlie

  6. You are Sooo good at expressing your feelings Charlie! Don’t despair, I hear that Christmas is going to come again this year! 🙂
Chase your sticks, go on walks, lay by the cozy fire and it will be Christmas again before you know it!

  7. Dear Charlie : Your un-opened and un-answered post is an un-pardonable offense. It was an un-foreseeable, yet un-avoidable event that caused this un-acceptable infraction of my usual un-wavering good manners. Though I am somewhat un-hopeful that you may be un-forgiving of this un-intentional incident, I beg your pardon for my un-just behavior. I hope that I will not be un-successful at regaining your affection. Do not think that your many talents are un-appreciated. Please do not think me un-Thankful for your fantabulous post. Thank-you!

    • Dog gone it! I’m completely un-done by my un-observance of a completely un-intelligent sentence in my un-ending comment. I meant to say that I am somewhat un-hopeful that you may be “forgiving” of this un-intentional incident. It is probably un-reasonable to harbor any hope now and I suspect that you are very un-impressed by my un-intelligent ramblings. Please do not be un-sympathetic to this unworthy human!
