That Moment

That Moment.

That moment when a drip of water
crystallizes into ice with a single degree drop in temperature.

That moment when your eyes meet
and you truly see, and you immediately understand completely.

That moment when a song comes on
and memories and long-forgotten feelings flood your heart and soul.

That moment when the ringing phone
brings startling news that suddenly changes everything.

That moment when a single spark
ignites a rip-roaring, intensely scorching, blazing fire.

That moment of quiet wonder amidst the clamor
that reminds us that blissful peace is within reach.

That moment…

just one of the many…

that define our lives.

Cherish that moment.

Cheers & Hugs,
Jodi

  1. The amazing (and somewhat unsettling) thing about the moments that you so beautifully describe, Jodi, is that we never really know when they will happen. How can we possibly be prepared for those special moments? I guess we really need to cherish every moment and be thankful for every breath that we take, knowing that life is fragile and comes with an unknown expiration date for each of us.

    • No we don’t know when they will be, but we can sure cherish them when they occur. My thought is we need to seek moments each day to cherish. Maybe the whole day won’t be something to jump up and down about – but if we focus on those times when small moments make an impact, then we will see value and beauty in life. 🙂

    • Thank you so much Jill. You know, I’ve been wondering about blogging lately. Wondering if I have anything new to say each day…. New photos or recipes or words…. It will be 4 years in May of posting every day…

      • Hi Jodi, I just wrote you a reply and it disappeared! 😮 I started blogging in Jan of 2015. I tried to do it daily and I lasted about 6 months or so… I discovered that I found a DAILY routine took the fun out of it for me. Yet, I have learned that I need to fill my well too so I need to take a day or two off each week. Maybe a break would help you? I think everyone would understand. ❤️ And I so enjoy your posts! 😘xo

  2. I have been waking way too early recently and have been thinking about all these things, plus imagining the future, both near and far. Taking the time to count my blessings as well:)
