Showing Your True Colors.

If you could show your true color,
what color would you be?

Yellow is the color of sunshine, hope, and happiness.

Yellow stands for freshness, happiness, positivity, clarity, energy, optimism, enlightenment, remembrance, intellect, honor, loyalty, and joy.

Bright yellow is an attention getting color, and when used in combination with black,  it creates one of the easiest color combinations to read and see from long distances. This is why school buses, taxi cabs, and traffic signs are painted yellow and black.

If you were a color – would you be yellow?

If I could be as beautiful as this goldfinch that visits our backyard, I sure would be.

  5. Yes – I can certainly see the yellow in you!
    I think I alternate between yellow and sea-water teal, a color that leaves you questioning – “Is it green or is it blue?” – a contemplative color that holds a wee bit of mystery. 🙂

  12. Benjamin says : “ORANGE!” After orange, he most often chooses yellow. Orange combines the happiness of yellow and the energy of red, a perfect description of Benjamin. My color, always and forever, green. You, Jodi, are the entire RAINBOW! We both agree that this Goldfinch is a “cutie”, but Benjamin says : “He is yellow, but he doesn’t look very happy!” Thank-you x 2!!

    • Good Grief, again! Benjamin asked me over and over if I told you that you are the rainbow. I told him over and over that I did. I finally came back to show and read it to him as proof. Benjamin is perturbed because I did not tell you “all of the story!” So…grab a cup of coffee and sit down. We looked at the photo and I read him the post. Then, I asked him what color would he be and of course it was orange. We then talked about Mommy would be purple, Daddy and Gem would be green, Auntie Heidi would be blue. After going through everyone in the family and beyond, I asked him what color is Jodi? He thought and then said : “Every color in the rainbow!” Now, I have given you “all of the story” and Benjamin is happy!

      • Oh my two favorite visitors ❤ – you always make my day!!! Benjamin – I can't wait to meet you in person one day and give you such a tight hug and tell you how much joy you give me each day. And I have to hug Gem too – because she is the one who share you with me! Thank you BOTH so much! To be called a rainbow by my Benjamin is just about the most beautiful thing I have ever ever ever been called. Thank you my sweets!!!! xoxo

  22. I’m so happy our goldfinches have returned here to NE, too. If I was a bird, I’d be yellow (you give all good reasons why) or red, like the cardinal. If I was a human (and many times I am), I’d like to be a soft pink, the color of a sunrise….
