The Other Side of the Door.
What lies behind
the other side of the door?
Do we dare open?
Or do we just imagine?
Do we take a chance?
Or are we too afraid?
Are we content to simply embrace the beauty on this side?
Or do we take the chance to experience even more?
Do we…
Open our mind?
Open our heart?
Open our eyes?
Open our souls?
To what lies behind
the other side of the door.
Cheers & Hugs,
Jodi

What was first, I wonder, the beautiful water color of the garden door or the inspiring poem on the many doors of the human being? Impressive work, Jodi!

The painting came first Peter. And it made me think these things as I created it. Thanks for asking. ☺️

Yes. And No. ? It is beautiful and a beautiful place with it’s own value. It may lead us to more to value or learn and discover. But there’s value to ‘it’ and where one is with it. ❤

Open it. Its very Christmassy the wreath on the door is inviting. Go in for more hospitality kindness & maybe even Jodi’s famous cookies & hot cocoa. Your water color is lovely. And your poems… Well always a wonderment & full of suprises.

A delightful watercolour Jodi. I love interesting architecture, doors, windows etc. and they make lovely subjects for watercolour…

I love the way your painting made the door look so inviting! Sadly, we’ve all been afraid of what’s on the “other side of the door” far too often, and who knows what opportunities have been lost as a result? Great post, Jodi!

sometimes it’s hard…. easier to stay where we know it is safe and pretty, but who knows what might just be on the other side of that door 🙂 Kind reminds me of the price is right LOL!!!
