PS  I’ve been known to have random songs pop in my head for almost anything – and then break into tune (or out of tune as it most often turns out) when they do.  Can you guess the two songs running through my head when writing this post?

Song One
Song Two

  1. Hi Jodi, You picked two ear worms. Crimson and Clover, over and over, and Sunshine on my shoulder makes me happy. I think? Love your watercolors and congrats on a loose rendition. I think about doing wc all day but never seem to take the time out of my day. Thanks so much for a wonderful blog and keep cool.

  3. I saw this early this morning and thought of one song right away but forgot to comment. You know me and early mornings. LOL!
First of all the flowers are beautiful, just like anything that you paint. 🙂
The song that came to me was “Sunshine on my shoulders.” Not sure if that’s the title but it’s the line going through my head. “Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy…” 🙂
Not sure of the other one. Always nice to have a song in your heart. 🙂

  4. Benjamin and I are not “adventuring” with temperatures in the mid 90’s and feel like temps estimated at 12 degrees higher! This Gem wilts like a cut flower in temps over 79. So, we have been in the A/C doing puzzles, reading books, Lego building and watercolor painting! We are winding up our day on the computer. Benjamin was delighted when he spied your email. After a close examination of both paintings, he said : “Wow, My Jodi paints betterer and betterer all the time!” Then he added : “My flowers will get betterer too.” I think he is right, both times! Benjamin sends a neck-buster hug and a kiss on your photo. Beautiful flowers in beautiful colors. Thank-you x 2!!

    • What a wonderful day the two of you had “adventuring” INSIDE! I’m jealous as I was at the office working 🙂 I can’t wait to see some of Benjamin’s watercolors. Are you painting as well Ellen? Thanks for the hugs and kisses. They mean the world to me!!! ❤

  5. I see I am at the tail end of a long list of marvellous comments. I just came back from a long trip. After I read you post and looked at your amazing water colour, I did not open the songs, because I knew that one of them would have to be Tiny Bubbles, an ear worm I did not want to have ringing in my ears for the rest of the night. Best wishes, Jodi!

Love these “Jodi” flowers!! 🌸💗🌻 They are the variety I’d love to grow in my yard! They make me happy just like your tiny bubbles…😊

  7. I guess right on Crimson and Clover! And when I first saw these paintings on Facebook (sometimes I see that before I get your latest post), I couldn’t believe how beautiful they were. Keep painting, Jodi…and thank you for sharing your work with the rest of us!
