Under the Sea – Dolphin Watercolor 11×14

Under the Sea.

It seems like such a magical place to me.

So when I was trying to decide what I could see

in the splashing I created so free…

A fish… a dolphin… a magical creature came to be.

I recently bought a new printer – A Canon Pixma Pro-100, and I was anxious to see how it worked creating prints and cards.  I am so pleased!  Above is a shot of the original with a mat and frame loosely placed on it to see what it might look like framed, as well as an 8×10 print and cards I printed on my new printer.

  19. I read this post late last evening and decided to wait until Benjamin could look at it today before commenting. I have oft repeated that Benjamin never ceases to amaze me, and today is no different. He carefully examined each painting and closely listened as I read to him. When I finished, he sat quietly as if lost in thought and then sighed. I asked him if he didn’t like the painting of the dolphin. I quote : “My Jodi paints the bestest pictures of things hiding, he is a porpoise not a dolphin.” I was quite surprised and asked why did he thinks so. He pointed to the nose and said : “Dolphins have a pointy nose, a porpoise has this nose.” I Googled images of both…Benjamin was right! But, then came the most amazing part of all. Benjamin said : “Maybe he is a dolphin just hiding his nose and My Jodi knows his secret!” Benjamin and I agree, he is a beauty whichever he may be. Thank-you x 2!!
