I do believe that when I give, I receive more back in return. 💗 Yet, sometimes it is nice to be on the receiving end of comfort and snuggle into it. 😘💕xo
First of all love the picture. Both virtues are important in every one’s life. Sometimes comfort also comes with a fire, soft music and a good book. Italian hugs.
Wise words, Jodi! Too often we get stuck in one role or the other, and forget that both are needed for a balanced life. It’s like giving and receiving….both are necessary!
Ohhhhh ….. perfect! Yes! Oh YES! Give and take. Most of us are more comfortable in one role then the other one, Jodi. I’m a giver …. yet it is SO nice to receive and not feel uncomfortable. Thank you for this post!! 🦋
Your words of wisdom, as always, are deeply profound and inspirational. I have never had a problem with giving anything, be it gifts or love or comfort. The receiving had always been my downfall, whether out of a sense of pride or feeling less than worthy is questionable. What I have discovered in my golden years is that there can be equal joy in both acts, Benjamin has contributed to this belated insight. Many years ago, on one of the numerous calendars that I’m known to have on any given year, was this quote that I loved and saved. “Blessed are those who can give without remembering, and receive without forgetting.” – Princess Elizabeth Bibesco. Thank-you!
