An Art Exhibition

An Art Exhibition.

I was asked to share 20 -30 pieces of my art

at a local theater,

The Iron Horse Theater.

The Iron Horse Theater Company’s mission is to provide thought-provoking and entertaining theater that will enrich the cultural life in what is now known as the “rust belt” area of southwestern Pennsylvania.   The symbolic name, “Iron Horse” represents the hard-working and “iron-willed” people in this part of the world. It is in this spirit that they create theatrical experiences that celebrate the grit, determination, and strength of the human character.

I was asked to display (and/or sell) my art during their upcoming Mother’s Day Cabaret

and their Harps and Harmonicas show during the month of June after a patron of Berry Vine Gifts saw my art.

I’m quite humbled and excited to be given this honor, and I can’t wait to see the show!

If you are anywhere near the Pittsburgh area, I hope you will consider visiting and supporting this wonderful community and theater.

Cheers & Hugs,
Jodi

    • Thanks Sharon! I can’t even believe it really…. It’s certainly not a big theater – just a small town thing, but still – I can’t believe anyone would want to feature my art 🙂 A few years ago, I never even picked up a paint brush.

Thank you for the compliment on my Meet the Artist write up too 🙂

Hugs to you Sharon – one of my GREATEST supporters and inspiration!!!

  2. Congratulations, Jodi! What an honour to have your art exhibited at the Iron Horse Community Center! I have always believed that your water colours are examples of very fine art in this particular genre. I see in the exhibition of your art work as proof of your talent which you can be truly proud of. Once again congratulations and best wishes!

  3. This is the ‘bestest” news, but comes as no surprise. It has been a great honor and pleasure to be able to watch you expand your horizons artistically and participate peripherally through the pages of your blog. I love the “Meet the Artist” write-up and the photo is absolutely beautiful. Benjamin will be so proud of “My Jodi”! “We lose ourselves in the things we love. We find ourselves there, too.” – Kristin Martz. Thank-you!

  4. Congrats Jodi!! Cheers 🥂 🎈It’s so well deserved & I knew your wonderful paintings are going to sell like hot cakes & that this will increase your online/offline business too! So happy for you, and sounds like a wonderful event for the theatre and you. I know this will lead to other opportunities, as well! You’ve definantly got that Iron grit too! Nice to read your bio and more about you, and I’m
so thrilled for you and this opportunity. Take care and hope you and the fam had a happy Easter! Wish I was there and could come see your show! All the best 🙂

      • You’re always welcome! I love art and grew up with a strong appreciation for it in all forms, and believe artists should always support other artists no matter their art form/craft. I think one of many reasons I like yours so much is that I’ve always found water color hard, and your pictures and illustrations in your books, are always so vivid and beautiful despite the mediums often lesser use of chroma (brightness). Have fun at your art show. Hugs back and to Charlie too! 🐾 💕

  5. That’s AWESOME! Congrats! If I lived close, I’d come by the exhibit and say, “Oh, I remember that one”…”Oh! I loved that one”, ” Oh! That was a favorite”, “Oh! that’s the ballerina Jodi sent with my daffodil card order — just to be nice!” Oh! and on and on! :o)
