Mars, PA that is…
Remember how I posted the gorgeous 70 degree F day on Tuesday (two short days ago)??
Today, Mikey and I headed out for a short lunch time walk, and look what is happening!!
THE WHITE STUFF! And it is 36 degrees F. I actually had to put a coat on for the first time.
So – ok – it wasn’t like a blizzard or anything (in fact it had just started, and I had to try pretty hard to find objects with enough snow on to get a photograph :). Remember it was 70 degrees two days ago…
But the first snow – no matter how much – is always kind of exciting… like a right of passage to the holiday season…
In faaaccctttt……. I think I might start playing the Christmas tunes…
(That always causes all kinds of trouble around here with my grinches guys – tee hee hee!)
Ask me in February – or maybe even January – how I feel about the snow, and I imagine it will be a whole different story! But from now until New Year’s, I love it.
Cheers & Hugs,
Jodi

Excellent snow pictures! The one of your dawg would make a great Christmas card

Awh – thanks RR – it was a stretch – and I’m sure way more to come, but I was just so darn excited – LOL!

Hi Jodi! You’re in Mars?! Lucky you. Infinite fun with that joke. The most fun I have with my town is, “outside of Philly”. Anyhow, I know what you mean about that first snow. And those that follow and follow and follow. Enjoy!

I know, Jo, kind fun – eh? We even have a space ship in our town square – and my friends and I all went in our pajamas one night for “Girlfriend Camp” and had the friendly local policeman take our photo – LOL! The football team’s name is Mars Planets – very cheesy! But it is a lot of fun. Hey – you don’t live very far away – small world!

You DO have fun with that. I may need to have a talk with town council to seek some sort of revision.
Shortly after I saw your post it snowed here too! Only a dusting, but there’s still some on the ground. It looks beautiful on my unfinished piles of raked leaves.
Small world indeed.

Beautiful photos! It won’t be long and it will be snow here too. I am only 50 miles from the San Juan Mountains (Colorado).

Oh yes, you must see Colorado some time. It is beautiful! (Not as pretty as Alaska though). — At least the part of Alaska I was in.

Did you go north of Anchorage? My daughter, her husband and children lived in Palmer, Alaska for 15 years. (It’s about 30 miles above Anchorage).

We sure did – a 10-day trip from as far south as Seward to as far north as “North Pole” and Chena Hot Springs.” I recall Palmer. We have such fond memories of our amazing trip to AK.

That’s great! Then you have seen all the beauty of Alaska (more than I because I only went to Palmer).

Hey little MIkey, you look awfully handsome out there in that snow. Great headline, Jodi, that’ll catch some attention. And it is so cold here now too….not ready for this….

Better get ready, Barbara. I’m not minding the cold so much during this fun stage of life….. (She says now…) Just like the sun to shine a bit more. But can’t have it all – eh? 🙂
