I just finished making them. I didn’t know to only melt 1/2 of the candy for dipping and I melted the whole thing. It made such a thick mess that I added some 1/2 & 1/2 and turned to sugar! So the other package I only melted 1/2 of the chocolate and that worked much better. I tasted one and they taste great! (Oh BTW I went back to the store and got Ritz cuz I ate all the pretzel crackers and decided the Ritz would be better anyway. LOL). I’m getting ready to go over to my nieces tonight and watch the kids see Santa. Tomorrow I will go over for the dinner. I will be taking the sweet potatoes and pumpkin pie.
Oh PJ – sorry that you had trouble. I always just microwave the chocolate, and if it starts getting a little thick, you just zap it in the microwave for 10 or 15 seconds to help re-melt again. I always melt it all at once, but maybe I am a bit quicker since I’ve done it a time or two. I’m glad you figured out a way that worked for you though, and I hope your family enjoys! Have the merriest of Christmases my friend!

It is also probably because my microwave is old and not that good. It took a lot longer for mine to melt it. Merry Christmas Jodi!
