If only closing our eyes
and blowing fluffy white
dandelion seeds to the wind
could make our wishes come true.
The world would be filled
with buttery yellow “flowers”
instead of pesty “weeds”
and “pretty” lawns would look much different.
It’s all about
perspective.
Go ahead.

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that….
those who are cold will have warm shelter,
those hearts that have turned cold and hard will melt and soften,
those in darkness will be enlightened,
those who are lonely will feel loved,
those who are lost will find their way.
