This week’s WordPress Daily Post Photo Challenge is to use the Rule of Thirds with a Bokeh Effect.
It’s been snowing non-stop here in Mars this weekend, but I took this photo a week ago when in Florida. I always love the way flowers look after a rain shower. I thought this photo was a good example of the challenge effect, and it also reminds me of warmer sunny days and wonderful memories with a dear friend.
Happy Sunday!
Cheers & Hugs,
Jodi

Beautiful photo Jodi! I love the raindrops on the flowers and the smeared look background.

Thanks PJ! I love the raindrops too – especially on the leaves. The smeared background technique is called Bokeh.

I thought it was the light bubbles you see in some photographs that are bokeh. It’s the blurr?

It can be that too – like christmas lights, etc., but basically is the “out of focus”ness of a photo – at least as I understand. 🙂

Okay, I believe you.

Whether it is out of focus or light bubbles, it’s pretty and enhances the photo.

Never heard of Bokeh, but now I know what it is! Absolutely beautiful effect… Everyday’s a school day! Do you sell you photographs? If you don’t, you should!
