I agree…..Autumn is such a special time with some gorgeous views that are second to none. We have some vegetation changes in the south, but the changes in vegetation are much more dramatic up north.
Love your Dogwood photo and poem! My poor little Dogwood’s berries are being decimated by the abundance of squirrels this year. Growing up in rural Pa., we were surrounded by Dogwoods. They were so beautiful when they bloomed and then turned colors every Autumn. Thank-you for a peek at the colors of Fall.
Jodi! Nice photo! I’m thinking about quickly putting together a post on the colour red after seeing some great red shots this morning. If I do, may I include this shot in my post along with the usual credit and links back?
This poetry was amazing and such meaning in its “grand decree!” I think it could be one of the most beautiful Fall poems I have loved in a long time, Jodi. ππΎπ
Yes, I always loved summer until I became a mom. For some reason I started loving autumn then. There’s no place I would rather be than in New England in the fall…home. Hugs to you
Beautiful photo, Jodi! Sadly, the drought we are having means many of the leaves are just turning brown and shriveling up. We won’t have a pretty Fall this year. (Which just makes me appreciate your photo all the more!)
Such a beautiful game of colours! π I love your picture!

I do love autumn, just not what follows it. And it’s usually a very short season. But while it lasts, it’s beautiful…:)
