Falling for Fall

Falling for Fall -Mars, PA – November 8, 2017

Falling for Fall.

The days may grow shorter with darkness coming earlier….

but then we get to enjoy the warm glow of candlelight,
and breathe in the scents of pumpkin spice and cinnamon.

The air may grow crisp and the temperatures colder….

but then we get to wear flannels and hoodies and knit sweaters,
and sit by crackling warm fires under fleece blankets.

The leaves that once brought shade may turn dry and fall from the trees….

but then we get to kick and roll in the heaped, crunchy piles
and wait for sparkling white snow to stick to the bare brown branches.

The change of each new season…

brings opportunities for us to Fall for each one,
and embrace the joy and blessings it brings.

Fall for Fall!

Cheers & Hugs,

*A Born-Anew Autumn Lover!

  1. I learned to love the change of the seasons. I especially love fall for all its colors and the fact that it signals the coming end of the year, wonderful holidays where we spend quality time with those we love, and it’s really the only time I truest reflect on where my family and I were this year and where we want to be as a family, growing and learning together.

  2. Good Morning Jodi…I love your definition of fall. I love to get my sweaters out and wear them. It’s not too cold here but it is sweater weather. No fires to sit by in my apartment but I do have a cozy blanket. πŸ™‚

  4. Much as I LOVE Fall, and I do, raking leaves is probably my least favorite part. I love the changing colors while on the trees, once they are blowing all over the yard, not so much. Having spent several hours on Thursday raking and bagging the leaves, plus the tons of twigs and branches that are scattered everywhere from last weekends rain/wind…I am ready to return to the fun parts of Fall! I do LOVE your thoughts and the photo (notice the leaves, nicely attached to the branches). Thank-you!!
