Dancing into a New Week

Ballet Slippers Watercolor 8×10

Dancing into a New Week.

Happy Sunday.
Happy New Week.

Dance into it like you mean it –
whether pirouetting, plieing, or pencheing.

No matter your move,
make it meaningful.  Make the most of it!

Cheers & Hugs,

Thanks to Sam Allen at Peacock Poetry for posting a photo and poem that inspired this painting.

PS  This original painting as well as prints and cards are available in our McKinneyX2Designs Etsy Shop.

  1. A beautiful watercolor and thoughts from beautiful you! Once again your inner ballerina is coming out to dance…the steps are unimportant, only the dancing is! “Allow yourself to trust joy and embrace it. You will find you dance with everything.” – Ralph W. Emerson. So, let the dancing begin. You will have to wait for The Toddler Art Critic’s take when he dances in tomorrow. Thank-you! P.S. Happy Earth Day!

    • Oh Ellen! Thank you! I am dancing into my new job which starts tomorrow! We had a beautiful Earth Day! The sun shone and the grass is greening up and the flowers are blooming and the tree leaves are budding. It is a beautiful site. Enjoy your day with Benjamin tomorrow! Sending hugs X2

Have to thank you for sharing Sam Allen, incredible poetry, found my self on her sight for over 2 hours! She is very gifted, and the sounds her poetry makes is as beatiful as your photography, paintings, poems. I know you will do great at your new job, they are fortunate to have your talents, I just really hope they measure up to your expectations.

  3. I know that you are breathlessly waiting for the Toddler Art Critic’s critique…”My Jodi painted her feet Happy Dancing in the sky and they are cute shoes! I love all the pretty colors.” Benjamin and I wish you a happy first day at your new job. He has placed a kiss on your nose to send you on your way. He wants you to know : “My Mommy has a new job too!” Thank-you!
