Pomegranate Love

pomegranate

Besides the fact that I love the taste of sweet, juicy, ruby red pomegranates that have just started showing up these past few weeks in our grocery stores for their seasonal debut, I had a little fun photographing this beautiful, unique fruit.

My Walk with My Camera didn’t take me far today on this rainy fall day.

So I ask – to eat or not eat the entire seed?

  1. I love to add pomegranate seeds to salads or yogurt since they are so festive and really add a punch of colour. Do you know that if you break your pomegranate (a lot) then drop it in a bowl of cold water, the seeds will float to the top and with a little strainer, you can pick them up more easily? Set them on a paper towel just so they’re not soaking wet, then add to your recipe. Some will probably say that this rids much of the nutrients, but it does save a lot of time.
