Such vibrant colors, it just jumps out at you making you have to smile! 🙂 What you wrote with it was perfect. For the way the picture jumps off the page, it looks like a beautiful destination to arrive at.
Wow, you art beast! You mussssst tell ussssss how you did it, precioussssssssss. What has it got in its pocketsesssssss, yesssss? Oh Gollum is up and running this morning!! This is cool! I’m dying to know how it was created. And as Jodi would say, how big is it? Have a great almost weekend, my friend ❤️❤️❤️
You are so funny Laura Loo! I did this one the same day as “Summer Solstice” and it is the same acrylic colors only no watercolor base. Hansa Yellow, Quinacridone Magenta put on pure and thick and then high flow indigo drizzled in and feathered out with a skewer. It is on a 6×6 auquaboard. 🙂 It has been days and it is still “shiny” Not sure how or why LOL! But very bright and brilliant. A real waker-uper eh?! 🙂
Yes!!! Is it dry? Acrylic paints are often shiny, even when dry. If you don’t like the shine you can cover with a matte medium to dull it. May change the colors slightly. Love these colors!! Hansa yellow and quin mag are my faves!!
A beautiful, impressive painting. I like the colours and the idea. But what strikes me is that I dont see roads in the common sense. I see tiny veins. I have been wondering all my life how our body accomplishes the task of reaching with its vessels the tiniest region of our body. We may know much about genes, but we dont know anything about life. We dont know anything of this mysterious process that makes for instance veins, tiny ducts which are roads for the blood scurrying to the fingers which punch now these lines and back to my heart which enjoys your painting. Thanks, Jody.
WOWZA! My eyeballs LOVE your expressive painting, Jodi!!! Warm colors mixed with a little blue is the perfect combo! It reminds me of the magnified underside of a leaf. You ROCK!! 😃🎨💕🌈🌟
I agree: difficult roads often do lead to wonderful destinations! And I love the texture of that painting…I guess that’s because you also used acrylics?
Nice art work

It is surely dry. I painted it Saturday. ☺️. I kinda like this one shiny. It amazes me that the shine stayed. I do love these colors in acrylic.
