It may be a different color…
a different size…
a different shape.
It may be old…
It may be new.
It may be made of a different material…
or put together in a different way.
But it still does the job…
it still has purpose.
Tools of the trade
can be as diverse and unique
as the people who use them.
Why, though,Β is it so easy to accept and embrace different “things,”
but difficult, for so many, to accept and embrace “different” people?
Cheers & Hugs,
Jodi
…and we celebrate age in things, too, but not so much in people. Lovely post, Jodi!

Absolutely Jodi! That is what it takes – change, one person at a time. These are such tumultuous times regarding race and religion. I hope it quickly changes for the better!

So much truth in your message Jodi! So what does stomping the kraut do to it? I’ve obviously never made sauerkraut. π

It starts the fermenting process. Sauerkraut is simply cabbage and salt. That is it believe it or not. You pound the two to start water forming and fermentation. Sauerkraut literally is “rotten” cabbage – only it isn’t really rotten. π

Sometimes I think the problem is our own insecurities. We need to feel validated, and when other people look, think, and act like us, we do. When they don’t, we can feel threatened. And that’s so wrong! Great post, Jodi!
