Dear Music

Dear Music,

Thank you for lifting my spirits.
Thank you for reminding me of sweet memories.
Thank you for speaking to me when all other words fail.

Thank you for making me dance – even if only in my heart.
Thank you for making me sing – even if off key.
Thank you for taking me places I might never go.

Thank you for expressing the inexpressible.
Thank you for your healing power.
Thank you for letting me hear the voices of angels.

Cheers & Hugs,
Jodi

    • thank you Mike. Music is so magical. My oldest son taught me this most. He is a gifted musician and was a music major in college. He can express himself through music like nothing else.

  1. Oh Jodi how that fills my heart! My late mother-in-law was a huge believer in the restorative power of music and that singing is good for the spirits because we take in all that extra oxygen whilst we fill our lungs to belt out whatever we are belting out. When she died, the service was supported by her Choir and I just knew she was smiling so broadly. It was literally Heavenly …. thank you for prompting a lovely memory ❤️ 🎼 🎶 ❤️

  2. You have given voice to the feelings in my heart! Music magically transports the listener to other places and times. I saved two pages of an old calendar that was filled with monthly quotes about music. My favorites : “Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything”-Plato and “Where words fail, music speaks.”-Hans Christian Anderson. Beautiful post and love the photo. Thank-you!
