I like your poem very much. Its focus is on the enjoyment of the moment, which although fleeting remains as something precious in our memory. Merry Christmas!
What a picture-perfect scene. I can imagine you sitting there admiring the tree, taking a sip of your cuppa, and reflecting on the glow of the moment. XOXO
I hope to bask a lot with my granddaughter as I am taking time off between christmas and new year’s and “babysitting” her all week after Christmas! can’t imagine anything BETTER!!! Wishing you wonderful basking too with your boyos and books! 🙂 ❤
Are you going for grandmother of the year? Sounds like it to me. Love the tree and the poem and the thoughts of future grands that are not four legged critters. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
I love your tree! And you know, my very favorite thing to do at Christmas time is to just sit in the living room with the tree providing the only light. It’s so beautiful and peaceful!
Wow is that a 22 ft tree? Hope you have your own tree farm in your yard. We have Christmas trees, and they were planted awhile ago, that would be about the size of most of ours nows. The churches used to come up and cut down their trees, and leave a donation for the camp, but now they have so grown, not so many people have high ceilings and even last year we took one for my son and daughter-in-law and had to cut about 4 feet off and I think their ceiling was about 28ft. Beautiful photo, sorry I missed that at Christmas. Beautiful poem, especially liked the poem.
Very nice ❤

So beautiful Jodi! I am interested in settings you used for this pic. Was it on an auto mode?

ah – you noticed 🙂 not my usual settings – 3200 1/6 – 4.5 – very bright – and using tripod.
