This week’s WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge is ‘New.’
So why strawberries you might be are probably asking?!
Well – I got a new camera, a new lens (telephooooooootooo!), a new (my first first) tripod, and a new (another FIRST!) light box between Christmas and my birthday, and I couldn’t wait to play with them after the holiday festivities had settled down.
I set things up on Saturday, and I played…. With my breakfast…
and with my lunch 🙂
Another new…. went to the gym in between breakfast and lunch 🙂
And trying to eat healthier too! Another new. (But I assure you I will still be baking and sharing!)
I know – it all sounds so cliche! Everyone starts diet and exercise routines this time of year… But you have to start sometime! And maybe publicly discussing it will help hold me more accountable… 😐
Hope you enjoy these new pictures.
Happy NEW Year!
Cheers & Old Hugs,
Jodi

Beautiful shots Jodi, could be in a glossy cooking magazine. Don’t worry I’ve started my diet too cliche or not. 😃

A tripod makes you a real photographer now, doesn’t it? What is a light box? You know I thought your photography was great before so I’m eager to see what NEW camera brings us!
As to diet and exercise, well, what else is there to do in January?

Gorgeous photos, Jodi! Didn’t take you any time at all to get the hang of your new tools! …and yes, sometimes you’ve just gotta play with your food!

Oh Elizabeth – I’m sure you are doing the right thing. My new camera is an upgrade to my current one I got last year, so not as much new to learn – though probably more than I realize. I am just too impatient, but I have been told the BEST thing to do is read the manual, so keep it up, and you’ll be taking amazing photos very soon! I have a LOOOONNGG way to go, but am enjoying the journey! Happy New Year, and I look forward to getting to know you. Thanks for visiting and commenting.

Jodi, what a great start for 2015! Wonderful photos and healthy food. Good luck with your plan. I’m starting the new year with a new computer. Old one had a fried hard drive. I’m in the learning mode like you! Christine

Cool photos! So how do you like the Light Box? I’ve been debating for a while if it’s worth it for food shots. Looking forward to hear your opinion on it and see more shots taken in this little box.

Hi Nathalie. I really like it – will be especially nice for food photos (like you mention) and my handmade cards – especially when trying to shoot them at night in not so great lighting. I’m sure I will share more shots. Look forward to seeing your photography also. Thanks for visiting. 🙂

Yeah the light issue at night when cooking is always a challenge… That’s why I’ve been tempted to get a box too 🙂 I stopped my food photography but hopefully will get back to it sometime soon…
