Oh how I wish I had more time to play with this medium I am growing to adore! I am thoroughly enjoying it.
Here are a few wildly varied samples of what I played around with this week with drawing and watercoloring.
Do you have a favorite?
Thanks for visiting!

I wish I was going soon, but have no planned date unless PCH (Publisher’s Clearing House) hurries up and shows up at our house than I will suddenly disappear! LOL!

You recognized the Lindsay tutorial 🙂 It is addictive. I need to carve out more time. Never enough hours in the day to do all the things I want to do!

Awesome! I’m glad you’re happy. It looks terrific! Did you do an underdrawing first?

Do you mean did I sketch it out in pencil first before painting? If so, yes – I lightly sketched out the basic flower shapes.

Are you getting more comfortable drawing? Doesn’t she make it look easy? This is how I started. She convinced me it was possible!!

Yes – a little bit! Need more practice, but she does break it down to make is “do”able!

Right?! She makes it less scary! Yes and doable! She is great.

All three are awesome…but if I had to pick, I would pick the top one as my favorite. I love the blue sky in the upper portion and the greens in the lower portion against the purple tones in the flower. How lovely!

Jodi, love how you are excited about watercoloring. I like the first because the red pops, and it’s my favorite color. I like the second because it’s happy. The flowers are smiling with outstretched arms. I like the third because it’s whimsical & has bold colors. Look forward to more…Christine

I like all three. Which one did you get the most satisfaction from or were the least critical of? One of the three shows off your creativity and that’s the one I most admire.

I think I got most satisfaction from the first one. Are you talking about the third as the most creative?? It was really loose and fun and easy, but I think it is a little “elementary” looking…. (and I almost didn’t post it…

The key words here are loose, fun and easy and as far as elementary goes…..trust me most elementary students don’t produce work of this caliber. Having said that I do like all of them. Keep experimenting!
