Getting Ready for Christmas in Mars.
Where else can you find a 40 foot Christmas tree
ready for lights and balls and tinsel and a star…
next to a spaceship and across from Mars Bank
in town square?
There’s no place like home
in Mars, PA…
where celebrating Christmas
is “out of this world!”
Cheers & Hugs,
Jodi
Wow Jodi for sure looks like you are in Mars with the awesome picture and your christmas tree too. Have a great day.

Such fun! We have no spaceships but we do have divine little alpine huts getting ready for the Christmas Market which will run from Saturday until Christmas Eve in various squares across the city. And trees. Lots of trees. But now I want a flying saucer (how do I construct my email to the Mayor?!!)

lol – Christmas markets sound so lovely. We have one in our “big city” near us – Pittsburgh – they have a quaint Christmas Market in Market Square, but in our little town of mars – we light up the space ship hahaha!

It is pretty … perhaps I’ll write a little post about it … I’m trying to lift a pesky cloud which has been preventing me from writing for a while š

I’m sorry to hear that F. Is there anything I can say or do? Hope happy winds come and blow that pesky cloud away.

Your kindness is plentiful and well received. Iām better day by day and have absolutely promised myself (and The Bean, my sternest disapproved š¶) that I will post something tomorrow and then I will keep up a forced regime until it feels easy again. My plan will work. I know it will. Hugs to you for your lovely nature š¤

LOL. It’s just that this is all so new to me. All these years… I’ve been staring at naked trees. Who knew that when they were shedding their leaves they were actually undressing right in… and right in front of us! š

That’s right! When they shed their leaves they are undressing! HAhaha! Now I will never look at a tree the same. š

I’ve always tried to avert my eyes when they’ve disrobed, but couldn’t help myself and have often peeked between my hands just to catch a glimpse. I have it on good authority, though, that I’m not alone. I hear there are many who bus up to the New England area in the fall just to stare at trees as they prepare to disrobe. So thank god, I may not be the only tree pervert in America.

Hahahaha! We have a lot of those people (me included) that like to drive up through Colorado and see the trees (mostly aspens) that change colors in the fall before they disrobe. Such natural beauty!!

The Christmas Tree in Mars must be almost as big as Rhode Island! I can’t wait to show Benjamin the spaceship on Monday, he will be over the moon. He’ll also want to have one too! Thank-you for an out of this world post! P.S. Love the family photo…so nice when both sides of the in-laws can share a holiday!

Well – I will have to take a photo when the tree and space ship are all lit up and share too! š Yes – it is so nice to share the kids with in-laws. Nick and Liz just got married in April, so this was their first married Thanksgiving. ā¤

Benjamin says : “My Jodi lives on Mars in that spaceship, amazing!” Gem has not been very successful trying to explain the “in vs.on” concept. His friend, Travis, is the solar system genius at the tender age of about 4 1/2 yrs. old. I think that I will turn this over to the toddler wisdom department for clarification!
